Mowers stolen at Church

The Polk County Sheriff’s Office is requesting the help from the general public in obtaining information to a theft that occurred at the Pleasant Methodist Church in Goodrich. The church is located on FM 1988.

On Saturday, September 8, 2018, a church member arrived at the church to mow the grass. He had a meeting with some other members down the road, so he walked to their house. He left the truck, trailer, and equipment parked at the church. When he returned, someone had unhooked the trailer and left with it and the equipment. The trailer had two Gravely zero turn mowers along with weed eaters and blowers.

After the deputy arrived on scene, they learned a vehicle had been seen leaving with the trailer. A witness saw a gray Ford dually leave with the trailer and headed back towards Livingston on FM 1988.

If you have any information or the identity of the suspect(s) or the owner of the vehicle, contact Detective Mitchell at 936-329-9027 or Crime Stoppers at 936-327-STOP where you can remain anonymous and may collect a cash reward for information leading to an arrest.
